A treasure chest full of ship wheels, chains, pirate flags, spears, and questionable late-night decisions. Ye Olde Sea Chest started life in Marina del Rey as a salty little shoppe of nautical and Polynesian goods before steering itself into night club waters, because apparently selling ship décor was only the gateway rum.
This design revives the wonderfully overstuffed matchbook-style artwork from Ye Olde Sea Chest Nite Club at 4110 Lincoln Boulevard: part pirate stash, part dockside lounge, part California harbor fever dream. It feels like the kind of place where someone knew the difference between a schooner and a Scorpion Bowl, but ordered both anyway.
Product details: vintage-inspired nautical tiki graphic tee featuring Ye Olde Sea Chest Nite Club artwork from Marina del Rey, California. Designed for fans of lost California bars, vintage night clubs, nautical ephemera, pirate-bar graphics, dockside drinking culture, tiki-adjacent design, and old matchbook art with a little salt in its pockets.

The Story Behind the Shirt
Ye Olde Sea Chest operated in Marina del Rey during the boom years when Southern California could turn almost anything into atmosphere: a boat shop, a cocktail lounge, a pirate fantasy, a Polynesian corner, sometimes all before dinner. The business began as a nautical and Polynesian goods shop, then moved to 4110 Lincoln Boulevard around 1969 and later became a night club. The artwork captures that strange transition perfectly: a treasure chest bursting with maritime props, old dockside romance, and enough theatrical clutter to make the room feel halfway between harbor store and after-hours hideout.
This is not straight tiki. It is better than that in its own crooked way: nautical, tropical, California weird, and fully committed to the bit.
