J. Wray & Nephew has been part of Jamaican rum history since the 1800s, long before tiki bars turned Caribbean cocktails into global escapism. By the midcentury era, the brand had become deeply tied to dockside bars, island hotels, and the growing mythology around rum itself. This design pulls from that golden age of antique spirit labels with distressed typography, weathered print texture, and the faded elegance of something once hanging behind a waterfront bar in Kingston.

The artwork carries that perfect old-label energy: slightly sun-bleached, slightly salt-worn, and confident enough not to overexplain itself. It feels like a relic from a bamboo lounge where the steel guitar never fully stopped and every bottle had a story attached to it.

Beach bars, tiki nights, record stores, backyard cookouts, and suspiciously good dive bars all feel appropriate for this one. Especially if somebody nearby suddenly starts discussing the “correct” Mai Tai recipe with scholarly intensity.

Some shirts advertise a drink. This one feels like it already has a tab open somewhere in the Caribbean.
