Long before themed entertainment became corporate science, Florida had Tiki Gardens.

Operating from 1964 to 1988 in Indian Rocks Beach, Tiki Gardens wasn’t just a restaurant or roadside attraction. It was a sprawling tropical fever dream built directly into the Gulf Coast landscape: winding jungle paths, waterfalls, suspension bridges, pirate scenes, carved tikis, exotic birds, and enough lush overgrowth to make visitors feel like they’d accidentally wandered off the map somewhere between Florida and an invented South Pacific. And honestly? That was the point.

This design recreates the legendary illustrated park map, one of those gloriously over-detailed midcentury tourist graphics where every corner promised another surprise. The kind of map you’d unfold in the car while your parents argued about directions and somebody in the back seat was already sticky from pineapple soda.

The artwork keeps that old attraction-brochure energy intact with weathered navy ink, tiny illustrated details, halftone wear, and the slightly chaotic charm of hand-drawn tourist ephemera from the era before branding departments cleaned all the personality out of everything.
