Some tiki mugs are collectible. Some are legendary. Then there’s Tiki Bob.
The original Tiki Bob’s opened in San Francisco in 1955 under former Trader Vic’s bar manager Bob Bryant, and the smiling little mug with two dots and a grin quietly became one of the defining icons of tiki culture. Long before tiki collecting became a competitive sport, Tiki Bob’s face was already staring out from dimly lit bars filled with cigarette smoke, strong rum drinks, and Martin Denny on the hi-fi.
This version leans into the strange magic of mid-century California roadside culture. Part tropical fever dream, part desert cowboy postcard. The artwork feels like a souvenir rescued from a forgotten highway lounge somewhere between Waikiki and Route 66, sun-faded from years behind the bar.
